I think the primary solutions for the issues in Barangay Sta Ana are to educate, make realize, and immerse the community.
Educate. It is really significant for the people in the community to understand what they’re doing. What’s the process? What’s the system? Explaining to the people the process, and where it leads is sometimes all that it takes for them to act.
Make realize. Making people in the community realize the impact of their actions is powerful. For example, what could possibly be the consequences of them not throwing the trash both locally and even globally; perhaps, what are the pros of them throwing the trash properly. Make them realize and show them that there could be a point where both sides of the parties could benefit.
Immerse. The most “paradigm shifting” solution is to immerse the community. Making them feel and internalize their actions would make a punch through their hearts and such may act as a catalyst for change. For example, immersing them in areas that’s hit by devastating calamities because of the lack of awareness and such; or perhaps in a community which throws their trash properly and let them “feel” the cleanliness of the community.
